World Music - Jazz - Studio
Greg Vadnais is a drummer, and percussionist with a focus and passion for jazz and world music. Greg has played, performed and recorded at festivals and venues with a number of bands throughout Michigan since relocating from Colorado in the late 2000's. Current projects include The Greg Vadnais Quartet, and Botala. Greg is also the Concert Manager for Sojourn Lakeside Resort in Gaylord.
THE GREG VADNAIS QUARTET
The Greg Vadnais Quartet features Ron Getz on guitar, Bruce Dondero on Bass, and Dan White on Saxophones. Through the years the quartet has also included a number of guests, or alternate members including Chris Bickley, Steve Sandner, Steve Stargardt, Dave Collini, Andy Evans, Patrick Terbrack, Owen James and others as guest artists.
BOTALA
Botala blends the sounds of traditional Afro-Cuban and Brazilian music with house and Afro Beat, including live percussion and live looping. Originally conceived purely as a looping project, I've grown to describe this as a "DJ project with live elements". Great for salsa, merengue, samba, and all kinds of dancing.
